About Me

My photo
Welcome to the online blog for traveler/writer/photographer Steven Barber. Come in. Relax. Take off your shoes and socks -- or any other article of clothing, this is the internet. Have a look around. I hope to intrigue, amuse, entertain, and maybe provoke you just a little. I love to find adventure. All I need is a change of clothes, my Nikon, an open mind and a strong cup of coffee.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES - EXPERIMENT, "PICTURE 0045" Number 2

The second picture with file number 0045 is from Prizzi's Piazza, a now-closed restaurant owned by our friends, which was our favorites in the Hollywood area for a number of years.  In its run Prizzi's became a wonderful out of the way "hot spot" in Hollywoood, with its share of celebrity clientele as well as locals and friends.

The restaurant moved to North Hollywood where it ran into hard times and had to close its doors, taking with it the fun, ambience and amazing -- and I mean amazing -- breadsticks. A sad end to a wonderful place.

But during its run, wow.

  1. Very few restaurants have a heart and soul, and the courage to fight that windmill...hoping for another pizzapalozza.
