About Me

Welcome to the online blog for traveler/writer/photographer Steven Barber. Come in. Relax. Take off your shoes and socks -- or any other article of clothing, this is the internet. Have a look around. I hope to intrigue, amuse, entertain, and maybe provoke you just a little. I love to find adventure. All I need is a change of clothes, my Nikon, an open mind and a strong cup of coffee.

ANNAPOLIS, MD - FRANCIS STREET AND THE STATE HOUSE

A view up Francis Street to Maryland's State House.

The oldest state capital building in regular use, it was built in 1772 and house's the governor's office as well as the General Assembly's meeting rooms and offices.

Annapolis is a beautiful setting, and well worth the side trip if you're in Washington, DC.

(Or as its own destination, for that matter!)
