About Me

Welcome to the online blog for traveler/writer/photographer Steven Barber. Come in. Relax. Take off your shoes and socks -- or any other article of clothing, this is the internet. Have a look around. I hope to intrigue, amuse, entertain, and maybe provoke you just a little. I love to find adventure. All I need is a change of clothes, my Nikon, an open mind and a strong cup of coffee.

JEROME, ARIZONA - THE JEROME GRAND HOTEL

One of the reputedly "most haunted" places in America is the small hillside town of Jerome, in Arizona. Multiple haunts are noted in this former mining town which clings almost precariously to Woodchute Mountain with a spectacular view of the world famous city of Sedona many miles to the east.

Of all Jerome Landmarks, the imposing Jerome Grand Hotel, once at the town's medical center, stands tall. Many tales of eerie happenings, incidents and occurrences dot the building's history, and continue to this day.

Just another stop in our journey through October Country.
