About Me

My photo
Welcome to the online blog for traveler/writer/photographer Steven Barber. Come in. Relax. Take off your shoes and socks -- or any other article of clothing, this is the internet. Have a look around. I hope to intrigue, amuse, entertain, and maybe provoke you just a little. I love to find adventure. All I need is a change of clothes, my Nikon, an open mind and a strong cup of coffee.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA - THE DEEP BLUE SEA

There is a viewpoint on the drive from LA to San Diego which will be familiar to tens of thousands of people who make this trek on a regular basis. South of San Clemente, south even of the San Onofre Nuclear reactors. It's a common stop, unusually for jost a moment or three to get out and stretch your legs on the two hour drive between LA and SD.

It's a layover. And sometimes you see other people, themselves stopping for a momentary respite before continuing south. A place where people who may not have the Pacific Ocean looking back from their morning commute.

And they stop. And look.
