About Me

Welcome to the online blog for traveler/writer/photographer Steven Barber. Come in. Relax. Take off your shoes and socks -- or any other article of clothing, this is the internet. Have a look around. I hope to intrigue, amuse, entertain, and maybe provoke you just a little. I love to find adventure. All I need is a change of clothes, my Nikon, an open mind and a strong cup of coffee.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- A WORLD OF COLOR

This spectacle of color and motion is a small part of one of the astounding glass creations on display at the CHIHULY GARDEN AND GLASS in Seattle Center, next to the famed SPACE NEEDLE.

Chihuly's team, under his direction, have created a wonderland of glass sculptures amid gardens and museum-level viewing rooms. The visitors snake past the exhibits, each more spectacular than the last. It's a display of color and artistry unrivaled almost anywhere else.

Obviously one of my favorite exhibits, anywhere.
