About Me

My photo
Welcome to the online blog for traveler/writer/photographer Steven Barber. Come in. Relax. Take off your shoes and socks -- or any other article of clothing, this is the internet. Have a look around. I hope to intrigue, amuse, entertain, and maybe provoke you just a little. I love to find adventure. All I need is a change of clothes, my Nikon, an open mind and a strong cup of coffee.

Pic of the Day: Reflections of the Casino

Directly in front of the Casino de Monte-Carlo, in Monaco, is a small plaza: The Place du Casino. In the center is a beautiful fountain with a highly polished mirror sculpture in its center. It's concave on one side, and convex on the side facing the casino. The reflection, from certain angles, is of the casino and its surroundings.

I'm including both angles for comparison, with the bottom shot being more of an establishing shot than a professional photograph but allowing for a good appreciation of the mirror's "bowl".

Personally, I love the reflection of the casino building better as a photograph.
