As noted in a previous entry, not all of these shots are going to be the usual travel-type images -- all were and will be taken "on the road", but the Pic of the Day are also about the adventure, and the things seen which are not quite "ready for prime time" travel-wise. Not everywhere we go is glamorous and beautiful...but they're interesting nonetheless.
This image was made as I was leaving the New Beverly Cinema on Beverly Boulevard just west of La Brea one evening after a show. It's in an area of Los Angeles, just below Hollywood, which is still a bit under the radar and a little seedy.
A mile or so west Beverly becomes full of trendy shops and businesses.
