GOLDEN ARCH

This simple shot is of the sun's rays, at sunset, reflecting off the bright metal surface 

of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis.

The black background was simply the camera's response to the brilliance of the light coming off the monument. A spectacular moment.

The Gateway Arch in St. Louis is a spectacular and almost ethereal construction. Even while staring at it the viewer has the impression it's not really there.

In the early morning, and late at sunset, it takes on a whole different glow, as if setting fire to the sky.
