In sort of keeping with the "October Country" theme, today's quote is from my friend, author Harlan Ellison. At the time he was describing a writer's obligation to explore uncomfortable and perhaps even scary points to a story.
With his permission I have adapted it to my own use. Using a little common sense, of course. This dark and frightening alley is, in fact, part of Vieux Nice, France. One of my favorite and most fascinating destinations on the planet. (So far.)
